Does Ozempic impact our intuition?
What if the drug that silences your appetite also silences your instincts?
We rely on our gut for more than hunger. It’s the subtle radar that nudges us toward the right solution, warns us about a bad decision, and helps us sense when something’s off, before our head can explain why.
But drugs like Ozempic are built to quiet that system. They slow digestion, mute hunger cues, and literally change how the gut talks to the brain.
That’s the intention.
But here’s the question I've been chewing on (pun intended!): when we dampen those signals for food, do we also dampen the gut signals that feed our intuition?
No one knows. Science hasn’t tested whether “gut feelings” shrink along with appetite.
What’s clear is this: our gut isn’t just about eating. It’s part of how we make choices, avoid risks, and find our way.
Are we sure we want to turn that volume down?
