How pretending helps you learn faster

If you want to learn something well, learn it as if you're going to teach it to others.

AI is forcing all of us to learn something new while we also have day jobs to hold down.

Curiosity and experimentation will get you a long way, but the fastest path to deep learning is to commit to teaching it to others, even if you don't actually end up doing the teaching research has found.

A study from Washington University found students who were told they would teach others, learned the material they were studying more effectively than those who were told they would just be tested on it.

It's rare that technology comes along where everyone needs to learn at the same time. But that’s what AI is. A generational technology we need to all learn together.

You can accelerate your learning by jumping in and becoming a teacher or at least getting prepared to become one.
